Our team loves to walk on the trails in Newmarket, so if you live near the Tom Taylor Trail or another one of our wonderful neighbourhood trails and parks we are happy to walk your dog there. We tailor every walk to your dog’s personality, age and health needs.

We are lucky to live in Newmarket where the town maintains an extensive trail system that many dogs enjoy exploring with their walker.

We do not take client dogs to off-leash dog parks as part of our regular dog walking service. While many dogs enjoy them, off-leash parks introduce variables we cannot control, including unfamiliar dogs, people and environments. Our priority is your dog’s safety and wellbeing, so we focus on one-on-one walks, enrichment and exercise in your own neighbourhood.

As much as possible we try to match your dog with the same walker each visit, however this is not always possible and at York Professional Pet Sitting and Dog Walking we pride ourselves on the team approach.     You’ll also have the peace of mind of knowing that if your regular walker is away, another trained member of our Newmarket team can step in because everyone has access to your pet’s care information and routine.  No visit will ever be missed.

Yes, our Professional team of dog walkers and pet sitters are trained on administering medication including eye drops, ear drops, pills, oral medication, transdermal medication and insulin for diabetic pets.   

For your peace of mind in your visit note, it will always be documented that the medication has been administered.  You will never have to wonder. 

Yes all of our team members are employee’s and are fully insured, bonded, trained and accountable to York Professional Pet Sitting and Dog Walking and all live within our service area, a lot of them have been long time Newmarket residents.

Yes, we can care for your pet when you are busy at work, on vacation, on a business trip, unexpectedly called away from home, enjoying a weekend at a cottage or even if you are recovering from surgery or illness and need some temporary help.  We are available for 1 visit or however long you need us.   There is no minimum or maximum. 

Yes, a visit with your assigned primary pet care provider is included in the one time set up fee.  If the care is being split between team members due to shifts you are welcome to book a visit at the regular visit rate with subsequent team member.
