Potty Breaks

Starting at

Potty Breaks are for puppies and senior dogs that are too young or old to manage a full on-leash walk. Especially for very young puppies require a lot of attention to get them crate trained properly, but with the right care and schedule, they can be housebroken quickly. We have had lots of experience with young puppies and lots of success getting them housebroken. Typically a few short visits during the day while you are at work to make sure they get out before they need to is all it takes.

Older dogs often can’t manage a full ½ hour visit but due to age have less control over their bladder and bowels or need medication during the day. A quick potty break while you are away helping them remain comfortable and happy.

High Energy Backyard Play

Starting at

Do you have a high energy dog? Sometimes a leash walk just does not get the zoomies out. Our professional dog walker will play frisbee, ball and games in YOUR own secure backyard so your pooch is pooped and ready for cuddles when you get home.

Perfect for high energy dogs and people who are more comfortable with their dog staying on their own property.

This is also a great choice for dogs that are very reactive on their walks. They can still enjoy the mental and physical break, get the fresh air and excesses they need in the comfort of their own secure fenced yard.

Benefits of Daily Dog Walks for Newmarket & Aurora Dogs

Keep your dog in good health

Dogs should exercise every day to help keep them healthy. Walks will help their heart and lung function, as well as support joint health and mobility. If a dog‘s life is too sedentary, it puts them at risk for long-term health problems such as heart issues.

Depending on your dog‘s age and breed, they might have a lot of energy to burn. Going for regular walks that include time for sniffing and exploration can help tire your dog out so that they are more relaxed at home. This will give them the proper mental stimulation they need, so they stay happy!

You should gauge the amount of exercise required on a per pet basis. Your low energy Shih Tzu will need a fraction of the activity that your high energy husky will require.

Opportunities for Socialization

Dogs are incredibly social creatures. While they enjoy spending time with you, they need to get outside and explore other dogs and people.

Socialization is one of the most important activities you can do with your dog. The earlier you socialize your dog, the stronger their confidence will be, which in turn will ensure they are well-behaved. A dog needs exposure to lots of different kinds of creatures, activities, and senses. A walk will allow them to see squirrels, hear loud vehicles, and discover new scents. They might interact with other dogs and humans (if you are okay with it), which will help them learn how to behave in these scenarios. If your dog only ever goes outside in the backyard, they will be missing out on so many socialization experiences.

Great Training Opportunities

It is never too late to refine some of your dogs’ skills and manners if you feel like they need a refresher. Going for walks is an excellent opportunity to get work on those training techniques.

Carry training treats in your pocket and work on commands such as “sit,” “down,” “heel,” and “stay” in different locations and with different levels of distraction. Working with leash manners such as polite greetings and loose leash walking will help your dog learn how to move in the world.

It will help you grow a stronger bond and build on their focus and impulse control. This will make walks a more pleasant experience for both of you, your dog will surely feel more confident after nailing down his commands!
